Fulton County Technology Competition 2024-2025

Attention: Any third, fourth, or fifth grader interested in entering the Fulton County Technology Competition!

The Fulton County Schools Technology Competition is a regional competition for the Georgia Student Technology Competition. Students in grades 3-12 compete in a variety of categories by entering a student-created technology project. The in-person county technology competition will be January 11 at Riverwood High School. Projects are to be designed and created by the student. Some adult guidance is allowed, but it must be clear that the submitted work was done by the student. Students who win at the district level will compete at state competition. For more information such as categories, rubrics, judging etc., visit the FCS Technology Competition webpage.

If your child is interested:

  • Please fill out this form before October 16 to be added to the Birmingham Falls Technology Competition email list: https://forms.office.com/r/xPqm1rtBNX
  • The BFES school liaison (Mrs. Hilliard) will contact you after October 21 with registration details.
Fall Scholastic Book Fair is Coming!

The Spring Book Fair was a HUGE success for the school - placing more than 4,000 books into the hands of our students and teachers while raising funds for our school and building excitement for reading!

We're thrilled to announce the Fall Book Fair {A Book A Day Keeps the Monsters Away!} will run Monday, October 28 - Friday, November 1 with after school shopping on Tuesday until 4:30pm during Jim ‘N Nicks Spirit Night pick up (ORDER HERE!) and Grandparent’s Luncheons on Wednesday (2nd/3rd/5th) and Thursday (K/1st/4th) during your child’s regular lunch time. We invite you to shop and volunteer!

Digital Citizenship at BFES

Students at Birmingham Falls participate in digital citizenship instruction as a part of our ongoing commitment to helping students become digital citizens who think critically, participate responsibly, and behave ethically in their online lives.  We partner with Common Sense Education and provide instructional activities that help students harness the potential of digital media while connecting online in a safe, responsible, and respectful way.  Digital citizenship equips students with knowledge, critical thinking skills, and resources to help them succeed as lifelong learners and navigate a technology-driven future.  We believe in engaging families in the important challenges and choices students face in the digital world.  Resources for parents and information about how Fulton County Schools partners with Common Sense Media can be found on the Birmingham Falls website.
