One more week of school, Milton!

• All K-5 grade students at BFES have an opportunity to showcase their writing talents in the Young Georgia Author’s (YGA) Writing Competition sponsored by the Georgia Department of Education. The YGA does not require a prompt for students to respond to or provide any other boundaries to their genre choice or creativity beyond having a 1,900-word limit (if typed, double-spaced Times New Roman is preferred). Entries may include Short Stories, Poetry, Essays/Literary Criticism/Analysis, Journalism, Academic/Research, Reports, Personal Narratives, Any Other Original Student Writing.  All writing entries need to be submitted to your child’s teacher by Thursday, January 30, 2025. • The Lost and Found will be out on tables next week. If you plan to visit for any reason next week, please check the Lost and Found tables. We plan to donate the Lost and Found after next week!

• January 28th - Glow Bingo in the cafeteria (4:00pm-6:00pm)

• February 17th & 18th – No School President’s Day & Professional Development Day
• February 21st - International Night at BFES
