Happy Long Weekend, Bobcats!

• Right when we finally got in a full week of school for 2025, next week we have off on Monday. I hope you enjoy Martin Luther King Day with your families!
• Today your child will bring home their semester 1 report card and winter iReady diagnostic results. You may also find report card grades on the parent portal. Paper copies of report cards are sent home at the end of each semester.
• Bingo Night: Join us for Glow Bingo Night on Tuesday, January 28th from 4:00pm – 6:00pm in the BFES cafeteria.  Tickets are $10 dollars each and include a slice of pizza, a drink, and a bingo card. Tickets will be for sale at the door, or you can also order them HERE once you login to the PTO site. 
• All K-5 grade students at BFES have an opportunity to showcase their writing talents in the Young Georgia Author’s (YGA) Writing Competition sponsored by the Georgia Department of Education. The YGA does not require a prompt for students to respond to or provide any other boundaries to their genre choice or creativity beyond having a 1,900-word limit (if typed, double-spaced Times New Roman is preferred). Entries may include Short Stories, Poetry, Essays/Literary Criticism/Analysis, Journalism, Academic/Research, Reports, Personal Narratives, Any Other Original Student Writing.  All writing entries need to be submitted to your child’s teacher by Thursday, January 30, 2025. • February 17th & 18th – No School President’s Day & Professional Development Day
• February 21st - International Night at BFES
