A Note from Principal Webb

Hello March! As we spring into a new month, we hope you enjoy the long weekend ahead with no school on Monday or Tuesday. Enjoy the short break!

Young Ga. Authors Writing Competition: Congratulations to first-grade student, Brynn Murira and second-grade student, Dylan Coleman on winning the district level for the Young Georgia Authors writing competition.  The writings “The Adventure of Dragons,” by Brynn Murira and “When the Tide Pulled Me In,” by Dylan Coleman will represent Fulton County at the Metro Resa level.  Metro Resa will announce their winners in May. Way to go girls! We are extremely proud of you both.     
Kindergarten Round-Up is in one week. It is next Friday (3/7). Tell your friends that have kindergartners that are coming to BFES next school year. We would love to host them from 8am until 10am. Tour the school, visit a bus, visit a classroom, and have a snack.
Thank you to all families who joined us for International Night last Friday! The countries looked fantastic, and the food and drinks were absolutely amazing! It is so impressive to see the pride everyone has in their home country! A huge shout out goes to Elizabeth Peralta, Monica Medina, and Shyann Malone for their incredible effort in planning and hosting the event. A lot of work went into making it a success. We hope to see this wonderful event return next school year!

May 1-8th - Georgia Milestones testing for grades 3-5

Blast Off to Book Fair!

The Fall Book Fair was a HUGE success for the school - placing more than 3,900 books into the hands of our students and teachers while raising funds for our school and building excitement for reading!

We're thrilled to announce the Spring Book Fair will run Monday, March 17 - Friday, March 21 with after school shopping on Tuesday until 4:30pm and Grandparent’s Luncheons Wednesday and Thursday (times coming soon). We invite you to shop and volunteer!
