SUBJECT: The Bobcat Bulletin - August 8, 2025

We are Rocking and Rolling now, Bobcat Nation!

  • There shouldn’t be a Webb message this long again 😊 It was great seeing so many people attend our Welcome Back Ice Cream Social yesterday afternoon!  It was like a huge family reunion!
  • BFES Friday Newsletters: I will try to get these out at 3pm every Friday via text and email.
  • This week classes have been talking about being positive and choosing appropriate behavior in the school setting.  To me, the most important two things you can remind our children is to keep their hands to themselves to avoid any “accidents” and to not call other students names. Choose kindness and be excellent to each other. Pretty simple, really 😊 Help us create a safe and supportive learning environment at BFES. All parents/guardians and students need to review and sign the district’s Student Code of Conduct. You can view the code of conduct and sign it digitally using the step-by-step guide using this link.
  • Parent Lunches: You may begin coming in to have lunch with your child on Monday, August 18th. Thank you for giving us time to get our rules and routines in place during these first two weeks of school. Just remember to greet your child and take them to the stage with you for lunch. Do not join your child’s class at their table or invite other children to the stage. Keep it a family experience. Please say goodbye in the cafeteria as we do not allow parents back to the classrooms after lunch. Check this lunch schedule out so you know when your child’s class dines. Try to get here roughly five minutes before lunch begins.
  • Drills: This week, we completed four drills: soft lockdown, hard lockdown, severe weather, and a fire drill. We will continue these throughout the year.
  • Curriculum Night: This is when parents come to the school to hear what the students will be learning about this year. It is a night to find out about the school and the different processes in place at BFES. This takes place on two different days. See below to see when your child’s grade has their curriculum night. These take place in the homeroom classrooms.
  • Label Stuff: Please put your child’s last name on their belongings. First name is also really helpful too. Things you want to label: water bottles, lunch bags, sweatshirts, and jackets. If they’re labeled, they will be returned a lot quicker.
  • TAG: Check out the attachment here from the Talented and Gifted Department.
  • Lastly, please see the attachment here about Census Verification, Device Protections Plans, and Student Device Policy Changes.

The Birmingham Falls Elementary PTO is a welcoming and inclusive community of families, caregivers, and educators working together to create exceptional experiences for every student. We focus on building strong bridges between home and school, enriching the educational journey and strengthening the support system around each student.

Each year, the PTO raises funds that stay 100% within our school to support student enrichment, staff empowerment, and community-building initiatives. Your generous contributions help fill the gap between what public funding provides and what our students truly deserve.

By joining or supporting our PTO, you're helping to build a stronger, more connected school—and creating meaningful opportunities that benefit all students.
