SUBJECT: The Bobcat Bulletin - October 3, 2025

Big afternoon today BFES Bobcats!!

  • We hope to see everyone this afternoon at the Boo Bobcat Bash.  It is from 4pm to 6pm in the BFES Courtyard.  There will be bouncy houses, food, a raffle and so much more.  It’s a great place to come to get your weekend kick-started!

  • October marks National Bullying Prevention Month, and Birmingham Falls is committed to fostering safe and respectful learning environments for all students. In Classroom Counseling and SSS Lessons we will discuss the importance of kindness, empathy, and standing up for others. We will talk about how to solve conflicts.  On Monday, October 6th we will recognize Bullying Prevention Month by encouraging all staff and students to WEAR BLUE and #FCSBeKind

  • We know how much our students love to bring Labubu monster friends and other special items to school. We ask that students please leave these at home. They become distracting and can be misplaced. Thanks for your support with this.

  • Spooky Story Contest Entries for Grades 3 through 8 DUE 10/13 - The Georgia Writers Museum invites students to enter the Spooky Story Contest.  The Georgia Writers Museum is dedicated to inspiring today’s writers and readers and celebrating Georgia’s literary heritage through exhibits, programs, workshops, and student education. Nine of America’s most celebrated authors called middle Georgia their home, living and working within a 30-mile radius of the Georgia Writers Museum.  Please encourage the next generation of Georgia authors to participate in this year’s Spooky Story Contest.  Please see the linked flyer for more information.

  • Don’t forget to join our rocking PTO!

  • Volunteer Trained, Volunteer Trained, Volunteer Trained: Please make sure to go to this link to be volunteer trained.

Hooray! We met our next goal of $35K goal last week and are SO close to achieving our next mark of $40K to wrap up our incredible PTO Membership Drive! Can you help us get there if you haven't joined yet? No donation is too small to jump on the bandwagon with us and better our school events & enrichment programming!

Because we achieved $35K, Mr. Webb & Melissa Morris have to pucker up to kiss a donkey - a promise they made to our students. Stay tuned for the footage on that!

WAY TO RALLY, BOBCATS!

We are so proud of the efforts put forth by all families and staff to join our PTO Community. We are so very grateful for your involvement & contributions. PTO Memberships will stay live all year and you can join at any time! Fulton County Technology Competition 2025-2026

Attention: Any third, fourth, or fifth grader interested in entering the Fulton County Technology Competition

The Fulton County Schools Technology Competition is a regional competition for the Georgia Student Technology Competition. Students in grades 3-12 compete in a variety of categories by entering a student-created technology project. The in-person county technology competition will be on January 10 at North Springs High School. Projects are to be designed and created by the student. Some adult guidance is allowed, but it must be clear that the submitted work was done by the student. Students who win at the district level will compete at state competition. For more information such as categories, rubrics, judging etc., visit the FCS Technology Competition webpage

If your child is interested, please fill out this form before October 5 to be added to the Birmingham Falls Technology Competition email list. The BFES school liaison (Ms. Hilliard) will contact you after October 6 with registration details.
