• All K-5 grade students at BFES have an opportunity to showcase their writing talents in the Young Georgia Author’s Writing Competition sponsored by the Georgia Department of Education. The YGA does not require a prompt for students to respond or provide any other boundaries to their genre choice or creativity beyond a 1900-word limit. (if typed, double-spaced Times New Roman is preferred). Entries may include:

  • Short Stories
  • Poetry
  • Essays/Literary Criticism/Analysis
  • Journalism
  • Academic/Research Reports
  • Personal Narratives
  • Any Other Original Student Writing

All writing entries need to be submitted to your child’s teacher by Friday, January

• Here for You Club: The Here for You Club is a safe and caring space for students in

kindergarten through 5th grade who have experienced the death of a loved one. We

will meet once a month to share, create, and connect through fun and meaningful

activities. Our time together helps students know they are not alone, while giving

them healthy ways to express their feelings, build coping skills, and find comfort in

the support of others who understand. f you would like to register your child please

We had a great turnout for our Quarterly PTO Meeting on Wednesday! Thanks to all who attended and special thanks to The Mayor of Milton, Peyton Jamison, and Officers from Milton & Fulton County Police Departments for providing updates on school safety initiatives and changes for our school! MOTHER & SON KICKBALL

We can't wait to KICK IT with our Bobcat Moms & Sons a week from today! Don’t miss this year’s event with kickball games, yard games, dinner, and more! We will be bringing back the Nacho Bar from Hyde Brewing & Ceviche -- this was an amazing and delicious hit last year so be sure to grab dinner before or after your games! Below is the grade level schedule!

T-shirts will be delivered to your oldest son's homeroom class mid-next week! Please have your child wear their shirt to school on Friday, November 7. Tickets can still be purchased through Friday morning at 10am! We are in need of some volunteers for the event - especially referees!
