SUBJECT: The Bobcat Bulletin - March 20, 2026

It’s March Madness, Bobcats!  I hope your team gets that buzzer beater!

  • THIS SATURDAY: Hearts & Heroes Sneaker Ball Dance: This is a night celebrating our Bobcat girls, their dads, or the special hero they choose to bring!  Join us for an unforgettable evening of music, dancing, and sparkle at Birmingham Falls Elementary this Saturday, March 21 from 6:00-8:30. A cute dress for our Bobcat ladies and perhaps jeans or elevated attire encouraged for VIP guests.  Don't forget - Sneakers for everyone! There will be plenty of sweet treats and goodies to enjoy while dancing the night away. Purchase Tickets HERE .
  • Staff Appreciation Week: Thank you to all that participated in Staff Appreciation Week last week.  Staff created sodas, ate breakfast, participated in a make-your-own stationery display, enjoyed coffee and even a waffle and chicken truck!  Thank you so much to the PTO for helping organize all of this!  We felt the love!
  • Front Door Entry: We started having two doorbells to ring for your convenience and frustration this week😊 Please know that this is for added security so thank you for being patient.  This extra step is so we can get a second eye on people trying to enter BFES through our main entrance.
  • Career Day is coming to BFES! We need YOU to make it happen!  It is on Monday, May 18th from 8:15 am-10:15 am.  Please click Here if you would be willing to be a guest presenter for our students!  Please contact our counselor, Jen Soloff, with any questions.

Student Technology Use and the Law is an educational session outlines how students interact with technology and what legal risks or responsibilities come with that use. It is framed as a lesson on the legal perils and responsibilities associated with common technology use.

  • Awareness of Online Risks: The presentation prepares students to recognize common online dangers, such as inappropriate sharing of personal information, cyberbullying, harassment, or misuse of digital platforms.
  • Real-World Scenario Discussion: The “Case of Jessica and Ryan” illustrates how specific online actions can have legal consequences.

  • Understanding Legal Boundaries: While not lawyer-level content, the talk explains which student tech behaviors can cross legal lines — such as privacy violations or inappropriate communication.

You may email any questions in advance to LRE@gabar.org or use the chat during the meeting.

Total duration will vary based on the number of questions submitted and discussed at the end of the presentation.
