Wow!  April is almost over already!  Hang on tight for the rest of the school year.

• A huge shout out to our very own Brie-Lenn Abney!  This BFES third grade teacher was named Fulton County’s Elementary School Teacher of the Year!  Mrs. Abney is an amazing staff member that represents our school very well.  She also volunteers on weekends and during the summer to represent BFES at different Fulton County events!   She is currently completing her third year of teaching.  She has taught one year in second grade and two years in third grade…all at BFES!
• Career Day is coming to BFES! Thank you to all that have already  signed up to present.  We have made real progress here, but we still need six more presenters.  Career Day is on Monday, May 18^th from 8:15 am-10:15 am.  Please click HERE if you would be willing to be a guest presenter for our students!  Please contact our counselor, Jen Soloff, with any questions or ideas.  Do you want to team up with someone…we can make it happen!  We currently have 26 presentations.

  • 3^rd, 4^th, 5^th Grade: April 29-May1: ELA Section 1, 2, 3; May 5-6: Math Section 1, 2
  • 5^th Grade Only:   May 7^th : Science
• Tuesday, May 12^th: Field Day (days following are rainout days)
  • Kindergarten, 1^st Grade, 2^nd Grade (8:00am – 10:00am)
  • 3^rd Grade, 4^th Grade, 5^th Grade (10:30am-12:30pm)
• Thursday, May 14^th:  BFES Spirit Day at Bruster’s at Hickory Flat.  Mr. Webb serves from 3pm-5pm.
• Monday, May 18^th: Senior Walk in the BFES hallways (8:00am-8:15am).  Senior parents are welcome and encouraged to attend!
• Monday, May 18^th: Career Day (8:15am-10:15am)
• Wednesday, May 20^th: 5^th Grade Promotion Celebration starting at 8:00am
• Thursday, May 21^st: Last day of school
• Friday, July 31^st:  Sneak Peek at BFES – Meet your teacher, tour the school, sign-up for afterschool programs, join PTO, get a carpool number (8:30am – 10:30am)
• Monday, August 3^rd:  First Day of School
