SUBJECT: The Bobcat Bulletin - May 8, 2026

9 more days of school!

  • Thank you to all staff, students, and the BFES community for making our testing environment so calm the last two weeks.
  • Field Day is Tuesday!  If it rains it will be Wednesday, then Thursday and so on.  Right now, the weather looks great!  There are more water activities this year.  I know the students like to get wet and I want them to be prepared for whatever will make the rest of the day more comfortable (towels, shirt change)
  • Medications at School:  As the school year winds down, please don’t forget to pick up and medications or supplies your child may have in the school clinic.  All medication (prescriptions and over the counter) must be picked up by Friday, May 22nd at 12:00pm.  After that, all medications will be discarded as we cannot store medications over the summer.  Mrs. Huffman will be at carpool on the last day of school, and you can grab the medications then if that is more convenient for you.
  • Need School Supplies for next school year?  Visit here and enter code:  65522.  Orders close on May 28th.  Go ahead and get it checked off the list.  These are not refundable.  If you move, you will still be able to pick up your supplies, though.
  • Congratulations to second grade teacher Michele Culbertson. She was voted on to our School Governance Council to represent our staff!                       Congratulations to parent Will Hunter.  He was recently voted onto our School Governance Council to represent the parent community.

Don Webb – BFES Principal

Calling all parents of current and incoming Northwestern Middle School students!

At NMS, we love to support our school with copy room volunteers who make copies, laminate, and complete other projects that free up time for our teachers and staff.
We currently have a few openings for regular monthly spots. Volunteers are asked to serve on a set day each month for up to two hours. We have both morning and afternoon shifts. If you are interested in filling one of these spots, please contact Kate Vo (kbuben@gmail.com). This is a really fun volunteer opportunity!
