SUBJECT: The Bobcat Bulletin - August 21, 2026

It has been a hot one this week, Bobcat Families!

  • You may have noticed this week a couple days of shortened recess due to the temperature getting up there. While we never cancel recess, sometimes we do need to move it indoors or cut the exterior recess in half and have indoor recess the other half of the time. This is very rare, but it can happen. Just trying to keep all safe.
  • It has been great having parents eating with their child on the stage in the cafeteria for lunch this past week! 
  • It will be exciting when volunteering in the classroom becomes more prevalent as the year goes on. This includes mystery readers and STEM Lab volunteers. Don’t forget, to work in the classrooms with children you must be volunteer trained. This training does not take long at all and helps to avoid hang-ups at the front desk when coming to volunteer your time.
  • Cafeteria Account: Don’t forget to keep money in your child’s account. When they are out of money; they can charge up to three school meals. After that, they are given a cheese sandwich instead of the lunch being served that day. This is new for our school, and I just want all to be mentally prepared.   • September 21st through September 25th : No School – Fall Break
  • Friday, October 9th:Bobcat Bash Celebration in the courtyard. This is carnival themed with bounce houses, games and friends. (4:00pm-6:00pm)
  • Wednesday, October 28th –30th: 5th Grade Camp Jekyll Field Trip

  • August 28 | PTO Meeting — Join us at 9:30 AM in the cafeteria for our first PTO meeting of the school year. All parents and caregivers are welcome!

  • September 17 | Taziki’s Spirit Night — Take the night off from cooking with a Taziki’s Mediterranean Café Family Dinner Kit! Place your order by September 14 and conveniently pick it up during afternoon carpool on September 17.
  • October 9 | Bobcat Bash Carnival — Save the date for one of our favorite school traditions! More details coming soon.
  • November 9 | Mother/Son Kickball — Moms and sons, get ready for a fun day on the field! More information and registration details will be shared soon.
