It has been a hot one this week, Bobcat Families!

• This month our character focus is BUILDING COMMUNITY.  Our Bobcat Leaders worked hard to make everyone feel welcome. Congratulations to our students who are role models for their peers!

• Talented and Gifted (TAG): Please see the attachment with regard to TAG screening at Fulton County Schools. If you have any questions, please reach out to Staci Arnold.
• Physical Education (PE): We are conducting our mandatory Fit GA testing during next few weeks. We will be doing the PACER the week of Sept. 8th. Please make sure your kiddos wear tennis shoes to PE! If you have any questions, please reach out to PE Teacher, Heather Mosera.
• Free or Reduced Meal Applications: Families may qualify for free or reduced- price school breakfast & lunch. A new application must be completed for the 2026-2027 school year. Qualifications are based on the gross income of all household members and the number of persons living in the house. Households are responsible for payment of meals until the Free and Reduced Meal Application is approved. Applications are available online at www.myschoolapps.com and in paper from any school cafeteria.
• It has been great seeing parents eating with their child on the stage for lunch these past two weeks! Don’t forget, you are only able to bring your child to the stage.
• Volunteer at BFES: Don’t forget– to work in the classrooms with children you must be volunteer trained. This training does not take long at all and helps to avoid hang-ups at the front desk when coming to volunteer your time.
• Cafeteria Account: Don’t forget to keep money in your child’s account. When they are out of money; they can charge up to three school meals. After that, they are given a cheese sandwich instead of the lunch being served that day. Check myschoolbucks to stay informed. While using the app, you can create restrictions such as how your child can spend it.

• Friday, October 9th: Bobcat Bash Celebration in the courtyard. This is carnival themed with bounce houses, games and friends. (4:00pm-6:00pm)
• Wednesday, October 28th –30th: 5th Grade Camp Jekyll Field Trip
