| A Note from Principal Webb
Good Afternoon BFES Families! - We have had a successful and safe return for our Face to Face Learners. We have added staff members to assist with carpool during arrival and dismissal. This may help the speed of it… a little. I know this is difficult right now, but I am far more interested in safety than speed. Efficiency will come soon… I hope. I know some parents like to walk their children to the front in the mornings. If this is an option you choose, please park in the cafeteria parking lot and walk them up to the carpool staff. This way we don’t have to stop carpool traffic for pedestrians or worry about fender benders in the parking lot from cars pulling out into the carpool line.
- Report Cards for all Fulton County students should be released by the district some time today (Friday). They will be shared electronically in Infinite Campus as they were this past May. Follow this link for directions on how to access them.
- Thursday Stories: Our new Instructional Support Teacher (IST), Ali Staton, has read The Thing that Lou Couldn’t Do. Check out that story and past Thursday Stories by clicking here.
- Don’t forget to write your children’s first and last name in their jackets and sweatshirts. It makes them easier to return when they have been left outside during recess.
- No School - Tuesday, November 3rd: due to voting and BFES being a polling location.
Don Webb ~ BFES Principal
|
Meet Your BFES Administrative Team! |
| Don Webb ~ Principal My name is Don Webb and I am the principal at Birmingham Falls. In Georgia, I have taught at Dunwoody Springs Elementary in Dunwoody, State Bridge Crossing Elementary in John’s Creek, and Cogburn Woods in Milton. I was the assistant principal at Summit Hill in Milton before being named principal at Manning Oaks Elementary in Alpharetta. I am beginning my fourth year at Birmingham Falls and proud to be a Bobcat! I believe in creating a positive and collaborative culture where parents want to send their children to school, where children want to come school, and where staff members are proud to teach. I am originally from Buffalo, New York (go Bills!). I completed my undergraduate degree at Purdue University (go Boilers!) in Indiana and my master’s degree locally at Kennesaw State University. I am married to Laura who is a principal in Forsyth County. We have two boys, Ryan (freshman) and Connor (5th Grade). They both play lacrosse and basketball. When we are not shuttling our boys to various practices, we enjoy playing games and hanging out with friends. |

| Stefi Slewitzke ~ Assistant Principal I am Stefi Slewitzke, and I am thrilled to be the Assistant Principal at Birmingham Falls! I am originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, then graduated from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. I completed my master’s degree from Stephen F. Austin University which is near Houston, Texas. In Houston, I taught elementary and middle school for 5 years. My family relocated to Roswell in 1997, and I taught at Mountain Park Elementary for 10 years before I came to Birmingham Falls as Assistant Administrator and then Curriculum Support Teacher. This is my second year as Assistant Principal at Birmingham Falls. I am fortunate to work with some of the most dedicated staff in Fulton County. I am amazed at how well our teachers are adapting to the many changes that come their way. I feel like our Birmingham Falls family of parents and students - both face to face and virtual - are what makes our school so special. I am married to Steve and have two sons, Mitchell (26) and Ethan (22). I am fortunate both of my boys still reside in Atlanta. I enjoy spending time with family and friends and traveling to new places (hopefully that will resume soon!). |

Fulton County’s Student Code of Conduct
Parents, did you know each year parents and students are expected to review Code of Conduct issued by our district? A copy is available on the District Website which can be accessed using the link below. If you would like a paper copy, you may pick one up from BFES. Please complete and return the form within the link to Acknowledge Receipt of the electronic version of the 20-21 handbook. English: https://www3.fultonschools.org/codeconduct Spanish: https://www3.fultonschools.org/codeconduct/home/indexspa This is a requirement of Fulton County. It ensures we all understand the behavioral expectations as outlined by our district. Please note: - The publicity release is now located in the FERPA section of the code. Parents, you are only required to “opt out†if that is your preference. If you are choosing to “opt outâ€, the process is the same as last year ~ which states that written documentation MUST be submitted to the school. Email Stefi Slewitzke at Slewitzke@fultonschools.org if you have any questions.
Our goal is to have 100% of our families signed off on the code of conduct by October 9th! Thanks for your support! |
